Hello

I'm Cayla, and I am the soul behind WYLD WAYFYNDING. I believe life is a journey of remembering. Along the way, we gather experiences, stories, wounds, wisdom, and wonder. Sometimes we lose pieces of ourselves. Sometimes we discover new ones. Through it all, we continue finding our way home.

As a facilitator and lifelong learner, I create spaces for reflection, connection, growth, and community. I invite others to explore the path of becoming while staying rooted in what matters most.

I am an Enneagram 5w4. A Myers Briggs INFJ. And a Taurus Sun and Moon with an Aquarius Rising. Needless to say I am someone who is trying to understand life, myself, and other people.I want knowledge that helps people, heals people, and reveals something meaningful.

Thank you for walking this path for a while with me.

My Story

For as long as I can remember, I've been searching.

I was raised in a Pentecostal church where my grandparents served as pastors. The church was a central part of my childhood, and by my early teens I was already helping teach Sunday school. I loved the sense of community, connection, and purpose that came from gathering with others. At the same time, there were many beliefs and teachings that never quite sat right with me. I found myself asking questions that often didn't have easy answers.

When my grandfather passed away, I made the difficult decision to step away from the church. What followed was several years of exploration, curiosity, and questioning. I studied different faiths, philosophies, and spiritual traditions, searching for something that felt true. Eventually, during college, I discovered earth-based spirituality. Its emphasis on connection, cycles, relationship, and reverence for the living world resonated deeply with me and continues to shape my path today.

At the same time that I was searching for spiritual understanding, I was also trying to understand people.

What I didn't realize then was that many of the questions I was asking about others were actually questions I needed to ask about myself. Relationships felt more difficult than I wanted them to. I longed for deeper connection but often struggled to understand why it felt out of reach. That curiosity led me to study psychology. What began as a desire to understand other people ultimately became a journey of understanding myself.

The path wasn't always straightforward. There were twists, detours, challenges, and discoveries I never could have predicted. Looking back, I can see that every step was necessary. Each experience helped me gather another piece of myself and ultimately led me back to who I had always been.

After college, I began working in inpatient psychiatric care with individuals ranging from children to older adults. I found deep meaning in supporting people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Many of the struggles I witnessed were experiences I could relate to personally, and I was often able to offer the kind of understanding and support I once needed myself.

Over time, however, I began asking a different question: What if we could help people before they reached the point of crisis? That question led me into prevention and early intervention work. Since then, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals across many stages of life; from elementary students and adolescents to homeless young adults, families, parents, teachers, and children from birth to age five. Every role has taught me something valuable. Every person I've met has expanded my understanding of resilience, growth, and what it means to be human.

My passion for this work extends beyond my profession. I volunteer with Radiant Healing Arts Center, supporting their mission of connection, growth, and community while facilitating classes and events. I also volunteer with Oklahoma Adventure League, where I use storytelling and tabletop roleplaying games to help raise money for charitable causes. These experiences may seem very different on the surface, but to me they are all expressions of the same calling: creating spaces where people feel safe enough to explore, connect, heal, grow, and become more fully themselves.

I don't have life figured out. In many ways, I'm still walking my own path of discovery. What I do know is that I love this life. I believe growth is possible. I believe community matters. I believe the world is alive with wisdom if we're willing to listen. And I believe that many of us spend our lives searching for pieces of ourselves that were never truly lost.

WYLD WAYFYNDING was born from that belief.

It is an invitation to explore, to connect, to reflect, and to remember.

To gather the pieces.

To walk the path.

To find our way to who we've always been.
